As fears of COVID-19 infection recede and fewer people are getting tested, UW Medicine is closing their remaining PCR testing sites in King County on March 31. The list of affected locations are located here:

  • Auburn, at Auburn Collection Outlet Mall, 1101 Outlet Collection Way, Auburn
  • Harborview, at 319 Terry Avenue, Seattle
  • Rainer Beach, at 5117 Rainier Ave S, Seattle
  • Shoreline, at 15499 15th Ave NE, Shoreline
  • West Seattle, at 2801 SW Thistle St, Seattle

Where can I get tested after these centers close?

Seattle Indian Health Board will continue to provide free or low-cost PCR testing by appointment only. Call us at 206–324–9360 to schedule your visit.

When you arrive at the clinic, please do not go inside the building. Instead, follow the signs leading to our outdoor testing area located at South Weller Street. We take this step so we can also protect our other relatives from possible infection.

You won’t have to wait for days to receive an update. We will have your PCR results ready within one to two hours. If you have other testing-related questions, please go to this page.

Other testing options

Until May 11, 2023, the state Department of Health will continue to operate their “Say Yes! COVID Test Program,” which mails up to five free home COVID-19 test kits to households per month. Please keep in mind that these supplies are limited to people living in the most at-need zip codes. To check your eligibility and order tests, visit SayYesCovidHomeTest.org or call 1–800–525–0127 for ordering assistance.

For a limited time, the federal government will also continue to mail four free COVID-19 home tests to any residential address in the U.S. You can order these free tests at COVID.gov/tests.
