Online Engagement Policy

At Seattle Indian Health Board, we are deeply committed to our relatives’ safety, well-being, and authentic expression—and this commitment extends fully to our online community.

We welcome everyone to engage with each other and with the content we share on social media and on other digital platforms. To ensure that our pages continue to be sources of accurate information and spaces of mutual respect, we may remove comments, messages, or posts that

  • involve hateful or offensive speech, including but not limited to comments that are racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, ableist, xenophobic, or bigoted.
  • are violent, abusive, threatening, harassing, or sexually explicit.
  • contribute to the spread of false information or accusations, especially regarding medical information.
  • encourage or suggest illegal activity.
  • constitute spam, including but not limited to gratuitous links or repeated content.
  • include libel, slander, or personal attacks of any kind.
  • target or harass staff members or relatives.
  • advertise products or services.
  • contain your or others’ personal contact information or records. This includes information about medical history or diagnoses.
  • campaign or lobby for specific political campaigns or initiatives—especially repeatedly.
  • contain or link to copyright-infringing material.
  • are clearly off-topic.

Accounts that repeatedly disregard these standards may be blocked.
