We’re excited to unveil Medicine Circle—Eighth Generation‘s new blanket in celebration of our organization and staff!

Designed by Louie Gong (Nooksack), and voted upon by our staff in 2021, the blanket features “striking blue rows of human figures stand[ing] shoulder-to-shoulder, representing the network of healthcare providers, professionals, and advocates that care for our Indigenous community in Seattle.”

Three of our healthcare providers—Andrea Bachhuber-Beam, MD; Socia Love-Thurman (Cherokee/Yuchi/Delaware), MD; and Misty Louie (Apsaalooke/Ktunaxa), BSN, RN—were selected to model the blanket outside our International District Clinic.
