SIHB’s Limited COVID-19 Testing Capacity—and What to Do If You’re Experiencing Symptoms

There have been questions from the community asking if Seattle Indian Health Board is a COVID-19 testing site.

We are not a high volume community testing site, but as a primary care clinic, like others in the areas, we have a very limited number of tests for our patients who are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms and have indications to test as determined by the WA State Department of Health.

We are not equipped at this time for high volume community testing like some of the other hospital institutions in the area are developing.

For patients experiencing symptoms, but do not warrant hospitalization or do not meet criteria for testing, we are recommending that they stay home and self-monitor, as advised by public health guidelines.

If you are not sure if you should come in or not, you can contact King County Public Health at 206-477-3977. We are also offering over-the-phone consultations at -206-324-9360.
