Diabetes Management Workshop

Come gather with SIHB relatives on Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SIHB International District Clinic to learn about Indigenous-informed diabetes management. This is a time to connect, learn, ask questions, and share a meal together!

Hosted by our team of registered dietitians, we’ll learn about diabetes and risk management, have a group discussion, and enjoy a free meal made with traditional ingredients by Chef Liiv of Liiv for Flavor. In addition to lunch, you’ll also get a free bag of fresh produce from Local Yokels.

This workshop is free, but space is limited to SIHB relatives who have established care with us.

At SIHB, our Nutrition Services team recognizes that many chronic diseases are related to changes brought on by colonization. Our dietitians provide culturally attuned education and nutrition counseling, food resource navigation, and so much more to help support your long-term health. Nutrition Services are available at all three SIHB clinic locations.
