SIHB’s Family Saturday is November 15 from 10am – 2pm. Join us at the SIHB International District Clinic and celebrate Harvest Hugs!

Check out all the great activities we have planned!

• Immunizations available: We have Covid and flu vaccines available to both children and caregivers at Family Saturday! While you get your boosters, grab a copy of Magical Millie’s Courageous Journey, a fun story and coloring book about the importance of vaccinations for a healthy, thriving community.
• Native Vendors Market: In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we’re inviting American Indian and Alaska Native artisans, hand crafters, farmers, and partner organizations to our clinic as vendors. These vendors specialize in a variety of gifts (just in time for the holidays!) including handmade jewelry, regalia, prints, and more!
• Raffle – Kraken Tickets: Enter to win tickets to Seattle Kraken’s Indigenous People’s Night (December 16). You can get an extra entry if you wear your moccasins for Rock your Moccs!
• Songs with TIM: Our Traditional Indian Medicine team is sharing their talents with us at Family Saturday! They’ll perform songs with drumming and dancing, featuring fancy dancer Wetalu “Lulu” Henry (Nez Perce, Warm Springs Paiute) teaching some basic steps.
• Moccasin making: Learn how to make your own moccasins with our Traditional Indian Medicine team.
• Off the Rez: Did someone say Indian tacos? Get all your fav foods from Off the Rez food truck.
• Diabetes/A1C check: During Diabetes Awareness Month, you can get your A1C levels checked at Family Saturday to prevent or manage diabetes.
• Squash Tasting: Try a variety of squashes and seasoned pumpkin seeds from the Nutrition team! Learn about how to incorporate Indigenous foods into your cooking with our recipe cards and try our matching game “Is it actually Indigenous?”
• We’ll also have free CSA produce bags, sovereign soup mix, books from SPL, firearm safe distribution, community gratitude tree, community partner tables, and more!
