Patient Demographics and Facilities
SIHB’s medical clinic offers over 22,000 primary care visits and serves more than 7,000 individuals annually. More than 200 American Indian and Alaska Native tribes are represented in its service population. The clinical services are supported by a state-licensed pharmacy and CLIA-approved laboratory. Hospital training is conducted at both the First Hill and Providence campuses of Swedish Medical Center, one of Seattle's most prominent healthcare institutions.
The SIHB residency program is a AAAHC-accredited community health center which offers a broad array of direct health care services including dental care; Women, Infant and Children (WIC); youth services program; elder activities program; pharmacy; laboratory; behavioral health programs in mental health and chemical dependency; and multiple community outreach, education, and research programs. SIHB also operates the Thunderbird Treatment Center, a 96-bed residential chemical dependency program.
