SIHB faculty and staff each bring varied educational backgrounds and diverse life experiences to the residency program. Each is passionate about working with residents to ensure they receive the best medical training possible with a specific emphasis on understanding the American Indian and Alaska Native culture and the unique health needs of this community. Many SIHB physicians and staff are well-versed in traditional healing methods and are committed to teaching these practices to residents.

SIHB faculty and staff create an environment of caring, understanding and learning that provides residents with the appropriate foundation to help them achieve success in providing medical care to American Indian and Alaska Native people and other underserved communities.
